In fact, our very own fearless leader, Jason Jani, and his incredible fiancée – now wife – Lauren, hosted their wedding celebrations at Battello Restaurant just two short weeks ago! And, let me tell you… It was an exceptional wedding entertainment, fit for the record books!
How it Started
After individually acquiring extensive experience and expertise in the bar & restaurant and hospitality industries, Cory Checket and Joe Calafiore combined forces, and along with New Jersey chef extraordinaire Ryan DePersio, fulfilled their dream of opening and operating an outstanding restaurant that is also one of the premier event and banquet venues in the state of NJ. At Battello, they believe that incredible events start with an incredible team! A team whose experience, passion for detail, and personal attention separates an ordinary event from an extraordinary one.
The Menu
The Battello menu features all the great things about Chef Ryan DePersio’s “Italian without borders” philosophy – that he’s honed over the past 20 years – including numerous and delicious fresh pasta offerings, along with delectably fresh seafood and exceptional meat dishes. Your wedding guests are sure to be blown away by Chef Ryan Depersio’s wedding celebration menus!
The Venue Space
Batello boasts soaring ceilings, electrifying views of the Manhattan skyline, floor-to-ceiling windows, a huge waterfront patio, gorgeous floors, beautiful exposed beams, and impeccable lighting! And, when it comes time for your reception, Battello’s main dining room can host groups of up to 200 guests. Meanwhile, smaller gatherings are more than welcome to use the Battello Lounge, where the exposed red brick and industrial-chic lighting add to the romantic atmosphere. You could also host your wedding in Battello’s intimate wine cellar, if micro weddings are more your thing! The charming wine cellar can also be used for pre-wedding events, like bridal showers or rehearsal dinners. And, when it comes to ease of access, Battello is conveniently located near multiple hotel options for your out-of-town wedding guests. Parking is also available onsite, with wheelchair accessibility, as well as valet services to make sure everyone arrives at the venue safely.
