The Island
Even though a trip out to the Island feels like getting away from it all, Long Beach Island is easily accessible by boat or car. And, the Island is only a short trip from Atlantic City, Philadelphia or Metro New York, which will make access quick and easy for any guests who are traveling to be there for your nuptials! And, if you're hosting a whole wedding weekend, Long Beach Island fits the bill, with lots of varied activities, attractions and dining experiences for you and your guests to enjoy!You could take a walk around Barnegat Lighthouse State Park to see the iconic Old Barney, take a trip to Beach Haven to check out their breathtaking historic district which includes museums, a theater and amusement park. Or, you could stop into Surf City to enjoy amazing beaches, a bustling arts scene and a cute walkable main street filled with shops, delicious foods and entertainment. Meanwhile, the Gateway to the island is located at Ship Bottom NJ, and happens to be where Hotel LBI sits, in the center of the island! Ship Bottom boasts one of the most popular beaches on the Island, and offers easy access to anywhere on or off the island.
The Hotel
The Hotel LBI is one of the first hotels that greets visitors arriving on the island. Over many generations past, the land where Hotel LBI has been home to an array of hospitality establishments, starting with the Vacation Inn, then repurposed into The Quarterdeck, then onto its new life as The Stateroom, before being completely rebuilt as Hotel LBI, with work completed in 2019! And, though the LBI Hotel is new, it was designed to replicate the grandeur of the original hotels built on the Island! The hotel offers all the cute charm of a summer home, but still comes with all of the world-class amenities of a proper resort. The hotel boasts 102 oversized, family-style guest rooms and private penthouse suites, so your guests will be able to enjoy all the convenience of suites with kitchenettes complete with cooktops and refrigerators, and the hotel even offers rooms with bunk beds for that laidback, island life, beach house, family vacation ambience. Additional features for you and your guests to enjoy include a fitness center, salon and spa, guest laundry, an indoor/outdoor heated pool with a retractable roof and hot tub, snack bar and access to the outdoor lounging areas. And, the hotel is only a 3 block walk to the beach, lends guests all the beach gear they may require, and runs shuttles to and from the beach all day long!
The Venue
Hotel LBI’s absolutely immaculate reception room boasts vaulted ceilings reminiscent of the inside of a ship, modern and upscale décor elements and colors, beautifully finished floors, panoramic windows overlooking the quaint seaside town of Ship Bottom, as well as a gas fireplace, to help you create the perfect backdrop for all of your wedding day dreams. Also, the reception room is 3,700 square feet, and can host groups of up to 200 guests, meaning that you won’t have to curtail your invite list to fit the space!
