At SCE we’re always happy to take a trip out to Bonnet Island Estate! We consider it a real gem by the Jersey Shore, and an exceptionally fun place to work! We’re proud to have been a part of some truly epic wedding celebrations within its walls!
Do you remember those hazy, lazy, endless days of summer spent on Long Beach Island growing up? Or Maybe your wedding will be your first time visiting this little slice of paradise at the Jersey Shore? Either way, you will know you have arrived when you make your way across the causeway and hear the sound of waves lapping on the shore and smell of sea salt in the air. The Mansion
The Mansion is inspired by the quintessential historic coastal mansions that dot the east coast, all the way from Nantucket to Charleston. And, as such, the Bonnet Island Estate welcomes you and your guests to a luxurious private island experience with unforgettable elegance and character! Then be prepared to be wowed when you walk through the front door, where the broad porte-cochere entryway, invites you directly into the elegant Main Hall, with its tranquil Parlor and sun-kissed Great Room, which overlooks the expansive East Veranda, where many panoramic waterfront vistas await!
The Ballroom
From there we move onto the Estate’s impressive Ballroom, where both your eyes and your photographer’s camera will love everything about this bright and airy space! There’s the majestic, 30-foot high ceilings which feature a striking and intricate design meant to emulate the inverted hull of a ship. Then there are the floor-to-ceiling windows that provide lovely bright light and as well as some incredible panoramic bay views! You really do need to schedule a visit and see this incredible space for yourself, and more good news! The Bonnet Island Estate Ballroom can comfortably host groups of up to 250, so feel free to expand your guest list!
The Views
Bonnet Island’s picturesque landscaping, architecture and private waterfront locale offer plenty of amazing photo opportunities for you and your guests. The English Garden, with its colorful blooms and pretty gazebo are the perfect setting for romantic portraits. Or you and your fiance can pose for a sweet “first look” on the dock, or maybe on the Veranda that overlooks the natural marshes on the property. The dock is also a fantastic location for bridal party and family group shots with a waterfront backdrop.
The Food & More
Wedding couples are known to rave about the delicious catering provided by Merri-Makers, which is Bonnet Island Estate’s exclusive caterer, that offers many varied catering options, including custom tiered wedding cakes, or a professional maître d’. But, whatever options you decide on, with Merri-Makers you can rest assured that you are in good hands.
The Team of Merri-Makers chefs, event planners and service personnel have over 40 years of experience in the catering and hospitality industry, so you feel confident knowing that every detail will be accounted for, including flowers, music, cakes, creative menus, attentive service as well as a atmosphere filled with beauty and joy!
