The evolution of our brand: SCE Event Group

You may have noticed our new look, a sleek and modern twist on our name that screams simplicity and covers the broad portfolio of inspiring enhancements complimented by a sexy pink dot. The questions, why change and why now – may come to mind and I felt like taking a few minutes and capturing the thoughts on the new branding evolution at SCE.

The previous brand Sound Connection Entertainment was established in 1999, and in short created the foundation of our business today.  Over the years the company has helped thousands of party-goers celebrate life’s finest moments.  From small affairs to A-list celebrity events SCE has grown slowly from a single man operation to a staff of over thirty-five while adding a broad portfolio of technically rich enhancements such as Photo booths, to various types of Lighting, to Multi-media, Live performers, Custom audio production, Drapery, Lounge decor and anything else a creative event host can imagine.

Over the years our path has changed a few times as this smaller company has been influenced by numerous private event venues, nightclubs, partnering up with larger companies like DOC, and finally being re-born in 2008 with its current creative push to lead the private event industry with trendsetting services that are client and event specific that cannot easily be duplicated.  We work very hard at always evolving our craft and constantly invest into our business – this is our secret and how we have earned the respect of so many all over the world.

So let’s move beyond the SCE history lesson, and let’s get back to the new brand info?  Well, since our re-birth of Sound Connection Entertainment in 2008, there have been a number of things that have come up and we just felt like it was our time to move on – bigger and better things lie ahead. We have felt that the Sound Connection Entertainment name in some ways limited our creativity, and pinned us in to a DJ category when in fact SCE is so much more then an average DJ service.  We inspire, we create, we think outside the box, we push the creative box, we believe, we make dreams come true, we bring together ideas, and help people during the most celebratory times of their lives. That is the SCE Event Group.

It all hasn’t been peaches and candy, having a url with 26 letters in it isn’t the easiest thing to type in a internet search bar. We also have noticed over the past couple of years that a number of other entities are using the same trade name – YES – From car radio to fellow DJ companies, California to Maryland, to Long Island, to Ireland, and beyond, there is more than one company using the same name.  With all the care, passion and time that has been invested into our events and branding over the years, we thought it was time to evolve our name to a more exclusive entity that is federally protected and cannot be replicated legally.  So after much thinking within our group, with some of our professional partners like Screaming Lunatic Multimedia and of course our legal team, the new entity – SCE Event Group was re-born again in October 2011.

Over the next couple of months you may notice the new company imaging, website and marketing materials being used. This expensive task is a time consuming effort but with all of the current support of people like you, it should be a breeze.  Making a pink dot look sexy is easy when you have an incredibly talented team that is constantly looking to push the bar higher than before.

If you are one of our 6,000+ fans on facebook, or have celebrated at one of our events in the past, we invite you to join us at our new Facebook home… CLICK HERE TO BE DIRECTED TO OUR NEW FACEBOOK PAGE.

On a personal note, this is an incredibly positive thing.  It is a natural progression that positions our entertainment/production based firm perfectly for all the amazing things on the horizon. The SCE Event Group umbrella truly captures our entire menu of service offerings and our broad scope of industry inspiring services.

I’d like to thank everyone for giving me the inspiration to keep it moving in a positive direction while making cool things happen for cool people.
