Hey Everyone, wanted to share my last video log in 2009. I had the honor of providing entertainment for Kelly & Nick Riker’s wedding reception held at Merry Makers Waters Edge on Saturday, December 5th 2009.
Although the SCE crew will be hosting a number of weddings and holiday events in December, I am taking 2 and a half weeks off to spend some quality time with my family and newborn son. As soon as we found out Andreia and I were expecting, I blocked my calendar for the family. Justin came a few weeks early but is doing fantastic. It is so cool to have our second child, and I am even more excited that we have a healthy son.
With all that in mind, our blog will be up and running, and our business continues to move forward, but I will not be performing for a few weeks so our vLogs will go on hold temporarily. Â My next event will be a wedding taking place on January 2nd, 2010 so check back and stay tuned. We have a number of big SCE announcements coming in the upcoming weeks. Â Product Endorsement Deals, New Mixshow Projects, New SCE Equipment and Toys, a new Flash Site, New Celebrity Event Hosts, and SCE Team Members are all coming soon, so please check back regularly over upcoming days and weeks ahead, because 2009 was the rebirth of SCE, and 2010 will be epic.
Now to the details from last Saturday……
Kelly and Nick were an awesome couple that wanted a unique celebration. From the moment I met them, I wanted to be part of their special day. Kelly, the bride, comes from a family full of professional musicians, singers and even actors, so the entertainment was something very important to them.

They set a theme for their wedding which incorporated their love of Baseball. Â They set the theme from the beginning with Baseball ticket stub invitations, and carried it through to the centerpieces filled with red laced baseballs, this celebration perfectly reflected our sports enthusiasts & newlyweds.

In addition to the music production services handled by SCE, we washed the walls in red via our ambient room uplighting (roughly 26 fixtures), we also provided intelligent lightscaping (Lighting using our Elation Moving Heads), and Multi-Media production using ’2′ ‘Commerical Grade’ 50 inch plasma screen monitors. Our plasmas where used for the presentation of our Love Story Montage, Music Video Mixing, Candid Photos, and an AMAZING Same Day Edit which was produced by .endlesswavestudios. and only can be found at events when EWS and SCE work together. Now that we mentioned EWS we have to say that we were very excited to work with some of our best industry friends at this celebration, Greg & Ryan from EndlessWaveStudios, and Mike from Berry Photographics were all in attendance.
We started the celebration with alot of energy, the Bridal Party entered the room to “Me and My Gang” by Rascall Flatts and the Bride and Groom entered to “Shipping up to Boston” by the Dropkick Murphys. Â We had the room erupt with energy “world Series style” and all the guest helped us with the twirling of their napkins….. Â It was amazing and visually WOW! Â Kelly and Nick then took centerstage on our dancefloor to celebrate their 1st dance together. The newlyweds selected “Amazed” by Lonestar for their 1st dance as husband and wife and they were joined by the Bridal Party about half way through the song.
From there our couple elected to celebrate and honor their parents upfront, so Kelly started things off by inviting her father to dance to “I Loved Her First” by Hearland. Nick soon followed by inviting his mom to dance to “My Wish” by Rascall Flatts. We then moved into our blessing, 3 outstanding toasts then the 1st course.
Following the 1st course, we started the celebration right away and had a packed dancefloor for the remainder of the wedding celebration.
We have attached our Video Blog which provides some visuals of the dance floor of the course of the 4 hour reception, as well as the Same Day Edit which was produced by Greg and Ryan of EWS. Â Our vLog also contains 2 candid testimonials, the first one was provided by our brides father who is a life long professional musician, the second was from the bride and groom.
