Let’s start from the beginning, a “Monogram” or “Gobo” generally refers to the projecting a lighted pattern on a wall, dancefloor or area. Â
The “Gobo” is actually the piece of steel which is cut to a given pattern or a piece of glass that contains an image or pattern. Â
The “Monogram” refers to the pattern that is displayed on the dancefloor, area or venue wall. Some examples of what can be used in a “Monogram” would be: Couples initials/names/event date/a company name/symbol/phrase and even items like an event theme can be used for Monogram Projection.
Monogram Projection is a simple and low cost lighting enhancement that can be used for any occasion, but it has become an especially popular item that is very common for many Sound Connection Entertainment wedding receptions.Â
Here are some photo examples of some monograms we have presented for some of our clients.
First take a look at the Monogram we designed in a heart for Bill & Danielle at NJ venue, Addison Park in Aberdeen NJ.
