So this past weekend SCE’s own Gregg Arce had the honor of doing a great and memorable life event at one of Atlantic City’s premier banquet facilities, The Water Club at the Borgata Casino.
The event was an 85th birthday celebration for Murray in the beautiful Aqua Room located on the 2nd floor of the water club. The aqua room was beautifully decorated with it’s breath taking views of the Atlantic City skyline.
The guests enjoyed there cocktail hour with a great spread of delicious food and the sounds of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and a number of tunes from the Rat Pack crew. After cocktail hour Murray came up to the microphone and delivered a well thought of speech to his guests. Before dinner, the crowd was very anxious to dance so we opened up the dancefloor with some great oldies such as Runaround Sue, Let’s Twist Again, and I Saw Her Standing There.
Once dinner finished, it was right back to the music. The crowd spanned many generations so we played everything from Cha-Cha’s to current Top 40 Radio hits and everything in between. With such a diverse group, we played alittle bit of everything so that everyone heard something familiar. Everyone was having such a great time, and dancing so the host decided to stay an extra hour of overtime. When it was time to finally end the night we closed the celebration with Frank Sinatra’s My Way.
It was so nice to see that all guests remained to the very last song, and created a circle around the Guest of Honor Murray. What a finale, picture perfect…..all Murray’s friends and family signing “my Way”, it was classic.
