DJ Times Publication now available online feature SCE’s Jason Jani

Here is the text excerpt from the article authored by Jeff Stiles and published in the December 2009 issue of DJ Times:

“So, maybe by now you haven’t mastered social media, but you’ve no doubt come upon a few websites you refer to regularly, either for lunchtime distraction or bona-fide business advice. We asked a few DJs from across the country to tell us their favorite websites, and to share with us how they use them to increase their business.

What websites are you using regularly?

1) WeddingWire.com. At Sound Connection, 95-percent of our business portfolio is performing at wedding receptions. Wedding Wire is like the new version of The Knot. Vendors can have a website which past clients can review their experience and provide insight to potential clients. In addition to providing information about your wedding services, there are resources for industry professionals to become associated with and link to each other, and a forum where vendors nationwide can interact. They also have a wedding-related blog called WeddingAces, which is also very good for industry-related information.

2) SeratoScratchLive Forums. An avid user of Serato for four years now, I check the forums once a week to see if anything new is brewing with the Rane team.

3) SoundConnectDJ.com/blog. The Sound Connection blog we maintain is a very active blog with information that is updated daily. From video logs, to company information to wedding ideas and event suggestions or real life situations, we share as much information as we can so clients and friends in the industry get to see new things all the time.”
