Sirius The Beat 36 & Area 38 Invasion….

Sad to say, but I just was informed that Sirius Radio will be eliminating The Beat 36 & Area 38 Invasion from its station roster. As many people know, I am featured on the Area 38 INVASION weekly, but I have been featured on The Beat 36 a number of times.

The Beat currently is home to a number of talented mixshow dj’s such as Louie Devito, Dom Armano, Justin Testa, Mike Bordes, Stickyboots, and a number of others. Area 38 contains worldwide DJ’s such as Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyke, Ferry Corsten, Murk, Denny Tsettos, The Rok Project, Armin Van Buren, Scumfrog, and home of the live WMC coverage every year in Miami.

As information develops on where my friends will be featured in the future I will be sure to post accordingly.

Sad to see it go as The Beat 36 hosted the Saturday night Adrenaline mixes which are unmatched in the industry. Area 38 is known for its Invasion series which I earned a weekly roster spot which will now be removed from the programming.
This consolidation is a result of the XM / Sirius merger. XM’s channel BPM will now become the commerical dance station for both entities, Area 38 will now beat known as Area and will maintain some of its current roster.

A sad day indeed. I am in mourning and shock. The beat replaced by BPM which in my opinion does not contain the talent and therefor lacks the great music selection. A station that I never had to change. Please keep us posted. I am so upset I am considering canceling my subscription to sirius.

I’m sad to see a lot of the Beat’s talent being released, and why they didn’t merge some of it with XM is beyond me. However, their daytime playlist was too much of the “hip hop remixes”…it’s top 40 mainstream vibe was way off what a channel like this should be…plus…SETH SUCKS…and you can tell him I said that…Tell him HE was the reason I left Sirius for XM…HE was the reason I came to HATE Sirius. His pointless chatter about what color purse he brought to work ruined my day. He was a terrible excuse for a jock.

As for Area 38…I’m not so sure this was eliminated as much as just moved around…and I discovered this morning that it’s now featured on XM Radio (channel 80) and is just called “Area”. I kind of liked XM’s “The Move” but I’ll definitely take “Area”.

I am very upset about this too! The Beat is unmatched. I called Sirius to let them know I do not like BPM!

Are you kidding? Why would anyone get rid of Area 38? It’s my favorite station. Very, very sad.

Hey, I have a favor. Do you have a tracklist from Invasion last night, 11/11? The song you played just before 10pm was amazing, and I’d really like to know what it was. Would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Yeah, bpm (bad programming move) is the worse thing that happened on sirius. A bunch of people have complained, but jon zellner, the vp of programming, won’t budge in bringing it back, so we are stuck with bpm, unless more and more people call and write. 888-635-5142 to call and complain!

After the Beat went off the air, I was pretty pissed off. I quit my subscription. I do have a question, who did the T.I. Whatever you like The Beat Version. It’s more upBEAT than any other version out there. Actually, I wouldn’t listen to TI other than this version. Is it possible to buy a download of the Beat Version of T.I. Whatever you Like?
    Thanks for listening.
